The Blossom and Buds Crochet Along
I'm very excited to announce that I have teamed up with Sirdar this spring to bring you a Crochet Along! I've designed the Blossom and Buds blanket, which I hope you love as much as I do. Read on to find out more about my inspiration...
The crochet along will start on 1 May and run for 6 weeks, with the free pattern being delivered by email each week, with an in-depth video tutorial filmed by me to accompany it.

My Inspiration
If you’ve followed Lottie & Albert for a while, you’ll know that I love floral designs, so I leant heavily into this for the CAL.
The brief from Sirdar was to create a spring blanket design that ‘grew’ week to week - either in straight rows or from a central point. I love designs like this, where you can see your progress visibly build up over the weeks (rather than a design using squares, for instance, where you have to wait until the end to join them all).
Inspired by my mum’s background in patchwork & quilting, I settled on using a log cabin quilt block layout using a whole range of stitches and techniques. And I’m so happy with how it turned out, especially as the log cabin combined with the florals almost looks like an allotment layout or garden plan. I hope you love it too!

The Blossom & Buds Crochet Along is the perfect, relaxing Spring make. Crochet a blanket over six weeks, with weekly patterns and accompanying videos to follow at your own pace.
This bundle includes fifteen balls of Hayfield Bonus DK in eight pretty shades. All the yarn needed to crochet along as well as a special woven label.
The Blossom & Buds Blanket is a simple crochet blanket, ideal for complete crochet beginners. We begin with the simplest crochet stitches and gently progress through new techniques.
More accomplished crocheters will have fun too, as we introduce crochet colour-work and textured crochet stitches including crochet pompoms!
Each week, beginning 1st of May we will release part of the pattern free of charge, alongside in depth video guides.
